Over quarantine and endless amounts of searching, I discovered dark academia, specfically looking at antique books. Over thee course of many years, I want to collect these books and make a library. Aside from reflecting on my passion of reading, it is something that is quite admirable to all, as each book holds a collective history like no other. Across NYC, I've managed to go to many bookstores such as Westersider Books to help start my collection.
I was most inspired by the aesthetic of the Morgan Libray when it came to deciding what i really wanted to do with this hobby. The library stores thousands of old books, with it all coming together with the beautiful ceiling and the rotunda, the most notable aspect of the Library. Although I won't be able to acheive the look of this library, it's a goal of mine to reecreate it in the best way possible.
